Do your soaps contain Caustic |

No our soaps don't have caustic in them any more, but they did start with a caustic. To make a "true" soap, you need to start with a caustic and a fat. We choose to use the fat from fruit, vegetable, herb, and nut oils, and not animal fat. Now for the caustic part. If you have everything just perfect, meaning the recipe and the measurements etc, when you combine the caustic and the fats together, you create a molecular chemical change called saponification. Saponification when complete means that you no longer have any caustic in your end product. What we do now have, is a healthy natural glycerin rich product.
